A conversational AI system built for a University of Hong Kong smoking-cessation trial.

Chatbot Counselling for Smoking Cessation in Youths
AI Native Health developed the conversational AI for a pilot randomized controlled trial run through the HKU Youth Quitline programme. The chatbot delivered smoking-cessation counselling to youth smokers using evidence-based clinical intervention models, in Chinese.

- Chatbot delivered 5A’s and 5R’s smoking-cessation counselling in Chinese

Large language models are good medical coders, if provided with tools
A novel two-stage Retrieve-Rank system for automated ICD-10-CM medical coding. The system achieved 100% accuracy in predicting correct ICD-10-CM codes, significantly outperforming a vanilla LLM approach which achieved only 6%.
